KATONAH, New York --- Renee Simon, M.S., C.N.S., will be conducting a six week course
to support weight loss and better health. The course combines nutrition education, personal
accountability and small group support. The course is for anyone who wants to be proactive
at the beginning of 2006 to gain control over that constant challenge – weight control and
management. The course will take place on six consecutive Wednesday evenings, starting
January 8 at 7:00 pm at the Katonah Healing Arts Alliance at 15 Parkway
in Katonah, NY.
The course will help participants understand the principles of weight loss and
metabolism. They will learn what to eat to feel their best and have permanent success. They
will learn what is needed to improve their energy, vitality and overall health. The course
will also cover: how to get rid of sugar and carbohydrate cravings for good; how to build
the right nutrient and exercise program to succeed; understanding the role that stress and
toxicity play in weight issues; why you eat what you do and what you can do about self
defeating behavior; and, how to handle plateaus and maintain the program you have developed
for yourself in the course.
Renee Simon has extensive experience and expertise working with clients to achieve
optimal health by addressing the underlying physical and emotional issues that affect them.
She is a New York Sate certified Dietitian-Nutritionist who holds a Masters of Science
Degree in Clinical Nutrition from Bridgeport University and a Degree in Holistic Nutrition
from The American Academy of Nutrition. She has also completed postgraduate training in
Nutritional Pharmacology and has authored numerous health articles. Renee Simon through her
private practice, Total Wellness, offers nutritional counseling for the whole family.

I have taken Renee Simon’s Weight loss program and I have had
success on 2 levels. I learned about whole foods, foods free of chemicals, antibiotics
and additives and how these foods affect body metabolism, energy, moods and our health in
general. Without an understanding of the role that foods have on our bodies when
processed with additives, hormones, steroids and chemicals, it only becomes a diet; just
another diet to feel restricted and resentful about. This did not happen to me. I have
enjoyed the ability to understand why I am now eating foods that are whole (without the
